PhD in cancer research and an MBA, three patents and a Nature Communications paper — a scientist-operator who frames himself as "the Integrator": technology × market × operations. Former CTIO at Rhenium and an ISU Space Studies alum. He built the very first TOGLO game by hand, on the trip that started it all.
It started on a road
through India
TOGLO engineers oxytocin where social media engineers attention — built by a family, for families, on a real journey.
"My daughter and I traveled to India together. She was on her phone. I built a game. She fell in love with India."
In 2024, on a multi-week trip through Asia, Dr. Etai Yaffe hand-built an AI agent and ran it by hand — a 40-question game fed two or three at a time into the family's chat, recalibrated each day to the route, the history of each place, and his daughter's last answers. Her mother joined from home and felt part of the trip. His daughter competed against herself, talked to strangers to find answers, and fell for the journey itself. No product, no infrastructure — just an idea that worked. TOGLO is what happens when every part of that experiment is engineered into a platform: repeatable, age-adaptive, and available to every family on the planet.
Three convictions
Oxytocin, not dopamine
We design for shared memory and family connection — never for screen time or engagement metrics.
Earned, never bought
Every reward comes from a real moment together. No ads, no data selling, no pay-to-win.
Privacy by architecture
Parents stay in control and kids are never live-tracked — designed into the system, not a setting.
Builders, operators, parents
A founder who lived the problem and a CTO who maps the build.
Joined to turn the experiment into a platform — author of TOGLO's engineering authority, the path- and tool-agnostic Development Plan that maps the road from prototype to 1.0: mobile state, offline sync, AI prompt versioning, the Captain & Crew session model, and more.
The bridge has one seat open: the operator who'll carry TOGLO from founding families to families everywhere. If reading this site made your pulse pick up — write to us.
This is just the first expedition
The core adventure ships first. Then the loops that turn a great trip into a year-round family habit.
Weekend & Domestic Mode Next
Turn a Saturday near home into a mini-expedition — your own state or region, themed like a country. The habit between the big trips.
The spectator stack Next
A Theater Feed, a Bounty Board and a remote jury — friends and grandparents watch, cheer and set challenges from home, live.
Pre-Flight Training Later
"12 days to Rome" — a countdown home with language mini-games, packing challenges and culture secrets to preview, the Guide teaching along the way.
Multi-Family Expeditions Later
Two or more families on one warm basecamp map — cooperate or compete kindly, swap bounties, and compile an epic crossover recap.
Trading Post & Skill Trees Later
Trade artifacts between crew and family, and follow explorer skill paths — Culinary, Negotiator, Ambassador, Detective.
The Explorer Network Map Later
A beautiful world map of your family's trips over time — built from game data, not photos. The keepsake that grows for years.
Come build the memory with us.
TOGLO is in build — founding families board first and lock the launch price. First expeditions 2026.
